30 Rock-Secret Santa
First off......GO BROWNS!!!!!!! Alright now that thats out of my system I can talk about this weeks episode. I tried to DVR it but to no avail, the Browns game was on NBC in Cleveland and I however was there freezing my butt off. This episode was funny. I really liked when that blond lady started bleeding from the nose, thought that was very funny. The show still seemed all over the place but now that I have watched a couple of episodes I guess that is just how it is. Tracey Morgan was barely in this week which was kind of sad. I think he plays a ridiculous role and we needed to see more of him this week. The whole exchanging gifts with Alec Baldwin was kind of funny as well. He gives the best, supposedly, and Tina Fey calls in a bomb threat. That was really good. I liked the quick hit on Obama, thought it was a nice touch. Overall I still am not that into this show and I do not know why. It is okay but still it might be my inexperience that hinders me from really getting into this show. That dude who was singing, I guess was doing a bad job so that the blond girl would not despise him. That was confusing since she seemed not to do anything for him or anyone for that matter to deserve it. So all in all it was a decent episode and I will try to get deeper into this show over the next week.

I liked your post and I truly understand where your coming from when it comes to picking up the show and becoming a fan. It's difficult to change things up sometimes and if you are unable to relate to the show in SOME sort of way, then it's not enjoyable. Period. Hang in there!
I agree completely the show was all over the place which is why I find it hard to follow sometimes and the fact that I still don't know who all the characters are and how they are supposed to act on the show, but it is growing on me, but if I didn't have to watch it I probably wouldn't make time for it.
ReplyDeleteGO BROWNS! couldn't agree- sorry you know I'd throw that in there ricky. I was a bit confused about the rage jealousy issue the blonde girl was having too. I'm new to this whole 30 rock thing so i didnt know what exactly the relationship between that guy and her. But still, i found it all over the place but still funny!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the part with Jenna and her rage stroke as well, Ricky. That lady cracks me up because she's so high maintenance and stuck up and no one likes her, which makes her a good target for quite a few jokes. The Obama crack was funny, but I wasnt sure if it was a crack on him as much as it was on islam and religion as a whole. I hope you start to enjoy this show more too, ricky, cause it can be pretty funny at times.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree maybe its just cause I've only seen a few episodes as well but I'm hoping for a better episode next time. I also agree that this episode needed more Tracy Morgan, even if he is only there for some cheap laughs.
ReplyDeleteYou could well be the poster boy for the process of "getting into" a show. I'm wondering (hmmm)--does the Readers' Forum on TWoP also feature newbies who are negotiating characters and randomness, or is it just fully-loaded fans who participate?
