Final 30 Rock Blog
So here it is, I looked it up and there is no new episode on tonight so I watched an episode from the first season named Cleveland. I had to watch it, it being about my home town. Jack has a girl friend that he proposes to and Lemon goes to Cleveland with her boyfriend. It was pretty funny when she got out of the airport and took a deep breath and asked what the smell was and her boy said that it was Cleveland. There was a nice happy song going on while she was walking around in the city that I come from and she was incredibly happy. People asked her if she was a model, let her cut in line and pet horses. I was a little peeved when they were knocking Cleveland and the whole thing was a knock but it was funny. Tracy Morgan got lost as the "Black Crusaders" were after him. I really liked this episode but it left things open which I am never a fan of. I am guessing the next episode or two clear up all the questions at the end but I hate when a show ends and you have questions. Jack's girl seemed to be a fraud, Tracy was actually being followed by a black man and it seems that Lemon and her boy are done. The waiting is always tough when you watch a TV show week to week and that's why I tend not to watch many shows on the television. All in all 30 Rock is not a bad show but like I have stated many a time in passed blogs, I am just not that into it. It was good blogging and checking out a new show so Happy New Year!!!!

Moments O' the Year
Wow, there are a lot of things to remember and I haven't done something like this in a long time. So here it goes:
To start of the year I turned 21.....I will never recommend anyone to turn that age and I will never do what I did that day and night ever again.
Spring break.......Panama City, FL. Not much else to say......besides what happens in Panama...stays in Panama but it was one hell of a time.
The Cleveland Cavaliers broke my heart for the bagillionith time as they went down in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Orlando Magic.
Though one game was awesome, when Lebron James hit the game winning three pointer with no time left. I was in Cincinnati at the time at a bar, Cadillac Ranch, and I hugged every person in that bar......so happy at that time.
The Indians picked up and stunk again so I had to wait until September for a team to come back......little did I know how bad the beginning of the Browns season would be.
The Summer was good to me...worked at a local radio station WTAM 1100 with Mike Trivisonno. Got some good experience and learned a lot.
Had a crazy time on a boys weekend out to PA......like I stated earlier what happens in PA stays in PA......crazy how that has happened twice this year.
Had a Summer fling that turned into a girl friend....what a wierdo......guess it happens
Had a huge family reunion vacation in Virginia Beach that was awesome and that I would never do again......too much family fighting....lot of drinking and eating though
Got back to school started working on the Football shows for the fall and really getting back in the swing of things.
Halloween was intense.....but made it out alive
Did the Finale show for Gridiron Glory and made it through finals without a scratch.
Then break came....lot of fam time....Tiger got caught....the Browns have finally gotten something together with this win streak of 3.....biggest one the STEELERS.....I was there
Cavs are starting to come into their own...beating the Lakers the other day on Christmas
Turkey day and Christmas were good....lot of food... and New Years is tomorrow time to make 2009 COUNT.
Going to eat and party all night long.....everyone be safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!

30 Rock Last Yr Xmas Episode
The first segment was the opening of the show when Liz told everyone that they were going to help less fortunate kids for Christmas. Then Baldwin hit his mother and it went to commercial. The first part is okay but what makes you want to stay and see what happens is seeing Baldwin's mother on the ground not moving.
Then the second segment is Liz buying a bunch of gifts and going over Baldwin's house to see his mother and it ends with Baldwin again saying he waited eight minutes before calling 9-1-1 for his mother. Now the segments might not exactly come right after the last thing that happened in the previous but they do build off each other.
The third segment starts with Baldwin announcing a Christmas special, then Liz thinks she gets scammed and Baldwin hurts his mothers other hip. She finds out he waited eight minutes.....hilarious and she yells at him.
Finally the last segment deals with Lemon being wrong and haha ruining some kids Christmas by telling them that she got them the gifts and no Santa. Baldwin realizes his mother really did a lot for him and it all seems to be happy. Because it was the Christmas special thats why it all ended good and it usually does on most shows. All in all good episode, I really enjoyed this one.
Some of the technical codes I really saw were the lighting and camera angles. When you met Baldwin's mother the set was darkly lit with grays and blacks. At the end to everything was made right and the shots were very close up and the lighting was vibrant and warm.
Good episode and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!!!!

TWOP....My Favs Bout It
My favorite three things from TWOP would have to be; the Brilliant but Canceled feature, the Mondo Extras and believe it or not the Tv Listings. I think that the most entertaining is the Mondo Extras, the coolest is the Canceled feature and the listings are the most informative. There were always some shows I would like that would get canceled and I would wonder why and it is cool to see this feature and what it says about certain shows. There is so much stuff in the extras feature that you could spend a couple hours and still not be done. I think that I would recommend that feature but for those of you who are like me the Tv Listing still helps. I could not find when 30 Rock would be on and I would have to email Dr. Nelson. This feature finds everything and tells you if the show is not on. So if you have trouble finding your show and it is around the holidays I would check out this feature and be certain if your show is on or not.

30 Rock.....well not exactly
Looks like NBC did a special tonight with SNL. So I watched that because it was the only thing on and I did not know what to do. SNL is not good at all anymore. This thing tonight was some Gilly chick doing stuff and it was so dumb. I really do not like any of the cast members and the only thing that was good tonight was the fact they played a lot of old skits. I love towards the end when they did the "Schweaty Balls" skit with Alec Baldwin. So I got a little 30 Rock-esque type of stuff in there tonight. I really liked Steve Martins "What I would wish for Christmas". He wanted so have an orgasm for a month and help the children with his last wish....pretty awesome. Still, SNL is no good anymore and Keanan from Keanan and Kel is on there.....REALLY? Very dumb but all the old stuff is great. Will Ferrell skis were on there, basically him singing Christmas songs. This one I loved where he was on a spinning circle and singing some Christmas song and it kept getting faster and I knew he was going to get sick. Then he started puking everywhere, I thought it was great. So all in all the show was good tonight because of all the old but this Gilly hosted and she sucked. I know she is a character but that character sucks. Seriously I wonder how this show still exists without having any talent on it amymore.

Pop Culture,Rabin and Such.....
So I am going to start and tell my tale, if you will, about my time working at The Ohio University Inn. I will say now that I did not work there long and thanks to not getting paid at the station I was forced to work there. It was the summer before my junior year at OU and I had just moved into my sweet new apartment at Courtside, little did I know it would suck.....so BAD!!! Let's just say it gets really loud when you live directly above the bar. Anyway, I called my buddy, Kevin, and was like what's the deal my man and he said he was working at the Inn but we should party.
So, I started working at the station and not getting paid, spending all my money on food and beer. Then I decided to ask my buddy to put in a good word at the Inn and I got the job. I was a banquet server and set-up man......great title. My interview was probably the weirdest/funniest one that I have ever been a part of. This guy sits me down and asks what I think a banquet server/set-up man does and I almost laughed. I said serve food, clean up and "set-up" tables. He says yea that sounds about right. What would you say if your manager told you to do something and you didn't want to? Would you A. get angry, B. yell at them or C. do it? I asked him if he was serious and he was not kidding.
So whatever I got the job and it was hell. I worked terrible hours, either six in the morning or late at night. Some people were cool there and they all made fun of Kevin, so I had a good time doing that. Always ate the food but the problem was I would work Saturday mornings at six and party the night before....not a good idea. I never felt that good at work on those days. I felt like a worked my butt off and got nothing to show for it but I kept the job. Plus I my grades sucked during the fall when I would work 25 hours, have 18 credit hours and work two football shows. I worked there from the summer, August-ish, until right around the Super Bowl....this is where pop-culture and media kick in. It is Super Bowl week and we all get the new schedule and I look at it and see my name next to SUNDAY 8 p.m. till 2 p.m. Right there I knew it was the last straw. I was so pissed, I can't miss the Super Bowl and I have never missed it. Plus I don't want to miss out on the commercials. Went up to the Inn on Saturday or Sunday, I can't remember, with my vest, white button down, name tag, green set-up shirt and told my manager that I just couldn't do it anymore and I walked out. It doesn't sound as terrible when you read it but let me assure you if I told you in person I would go on a lot longer and in more detail.
All I know is getting through the day was hard at that place and I would listen to music to get me through it. Some times I would bring my I-pod and other times I would use the stereo system. I combine music with media all the time. Whether I am playing my I-pod and watching the game or plugging it into my computer while I serf the web or do homework. I have seen how technology has changed rapidly in such a short span of time. For example in high school I got a cell phone when I got my drivers license. Kids now get cell phones right out of the womb. I always read the newspaper and got most of my sports information from there and the television. I never even had an I-pod until I was 20 and now everyone has one. So, I do not know if the old media will die such as newspapers, cinema and the radio but I do know that everything is never truly lost because all new technology is built of the old. I do not know if people will stop going to the movies because they can download them fro free on the internet but I did go to the movies last week and it was a lot better there then on my computer. What I am trying to say is, I am not scared for the future and new technology but I hope it does not destroy the old tech and media that I still love to this day.

30 Rock-Secret Santa
First off......GO BROWNS!!!!!!! Alright now that thats out of my system I can talk about this weeks episode. I tried to DVR it but to no avail, the Browns game was on NBC in Cleveland and I however was there freezing my butt off. This episode was funny. I really liked when that blond lady started bleeding from the nose, thought that was very funny. The show still seemed all over the place but now that I have watched a couple of episodes I guess that is just how it is. Tracey Morgan was barely in this week which was kind of sad. I think he plays a ridiculous role and we needed to see more of him this week. The whole exchanging gifts with Alec Baldwin was kind of funny as well. He gives the best, supposedly, and Tina Fey calls in a bomb threat. That was really good. I liked the quick hit on Obama, thought it was a nice touch. Overall I still am not that into this show and I do not know why. It is okay but still it might be my inexperience that hinders me from really getting into this show. That dude who was singing, I guess was doing a bad job so that the blond girl would not despise him. That was confusing since she seemed not to do anything for him or anyone for that matter to deserve it. So all in all it was a decent episode and I will try to get deeper into this show over the next week.

30 Rock
Well to start off, I have never watched this show before today. It was not that bad but I am not sold on it yet. I do like Tina Fey a lot and I think Alec Baldwin is great so I think that giving it some time couldn't hurt. Best part in the whole episode is when Fey cries out her mouth. I don't know why but I thought that was hilarious.
Tracey Morgan is a weird character and I'm guessing this is nothing new. The show went really quick since I watched it on a stream site and it really seemed like not that much happened. She got her show, bailed and then watched herself do some crazy dance moves in the background on a soap. Still when she cried out her mouth and went all Exorcist in the mirror I had a good laugh. I think that maybe I should go back and watch some of the earlier episodes so I can appreciate what is going on. Oh and when Tina Fey went in front of the HD camera....that was kind of funny too.

Scrubs
I think that this new episode and season, for that matter, is ridiculous. They are teaching at a college and I know I am not up to date on the Scrubs seasons but its pretty insane that they tore down the hospital and built a college for all the same doctors to teach at. Still same stories just with new people. The blond intern is J.D. and has her day-dream sequences all the time when she talks to herself. That other intern Cole....that story has happened before in this show. There was an intern whose dad owned the place and got whatever he wanted....pretty sure that happened in an earlier season. So not a big fan and like I said not up to date....J.D. and Elliot married with a baby on the way? Intense...thats all I can say.
